Munich was a one-day stopover on our way to Spain in November, 2012. We had never been there before and it seemed to be a great opportunity to see the city. We’re glad we stopped in. Like other German cities we’ve visited, Munich was clean and safe. I had forgotten virtually all of my tiny German vocabulary, built during a one-week visit on the way to Turkey in 2005. But it seemed English was universally spoken. Travelling in November, it was a little cold, and I didn’t dress adequately for our afternoon walk or the open-top bus tour we took. Nevertheless, it was a city we both decided would be worth a second visit.
