Was Segovia’s castle the inspiration for Walt Disney’s? According to some, it was indeed. I can’t speak for the accuracy of the claim, but the building itself, although “bit over the top,” as our guidebook put it, was a pretty interesting look at the medieval wars that were centred around the city.
