The magic of Segovia

Several months later, I think Segovia was probably my favourite place in Spain. I couldn’t help but feel that the peace and quiet, the human scale and harmony of the medieval residential quarter would have to affect your outlook on life in a very positive way if you were lucky enough to live there. The alcazar, though somewhat kitschy, had many exhibits of interest and afforded fine views over the lowlands of the surrounding countryside. The Roman aqueduct was a marvel to behold. The cathedral was a true repository of the town’s medieval history. The Plaza Mayor was a very pleasant public space. There was even that rarity in Spain: an excellent vegetarian restaurant for Ana.
