A morning at the Tivoli

It was like being a kid again. Walking through the Tivoli (pronounced “ti-VO-li” here) Gardens was to marvel at amusement-park history and traditions but also at the newesat in high-tech scary rides, all located within the confines of a large (and extremely valuable) city block in the heart of Copenhagen.

The Tivoli was the second large-scale amusement park in the world, the first being just outside Copenhagen and so not accessible. It’s funny, fake, fabulous, corny and, of course, expensive. Even in the cold weather of late October, though, the place was packed, as you can see from the photo gallery below.
